Choosing a wedding photographer is one of the most important decisions you’ll make for your big day — and it’s completely normal to have questions! Here are the answers to the most common questions I receive from couples in Jacksonville, FL, Folkston, GA, and throughout Northeast Florida.
Booking & Availability
How far in advance should I book? For weddings and micro-weddings, I recommend booking 3–6 months in advance. For elopements, 4–8 weeks is typically sufficient, though I do accommodate last-minute bookings based on availability. The sooner you reach out, the better!
How do I officially reserve my date? Your date is secured with a signed contract and a retainer fee. Until both are received, the date remains available to other clients.
Coverage & Photography Style
What is your photography style? My style is best described as documentary with a fine art touch — I prioritize genuine emotion, authentic moments, and beautiful light over stiff poses. I guide couples gently through the day while staying ready to capture the spontaneous moments that make the best photos.
How many photos will we receive? For a 2-hour elopement, you can expect approximately 100–200 fully edited images. For a full micro-wedding day (4–8 hours), expect 400–800+ images. Every photo is carefully culled and professionally edited.
How long until we receive our gallery? Your online gallery will be delivered within 4–6 weeks of your wedding date. Rush delivery options are available.
Travel & Location
Do you travel to Folkston, GA? Absolutely! Folkston is one of my favorite elopement destinations, and travel within the Jacksonville–Folkston corridor is included in all packages at no extra charge.
Do you photograph at Amelia Island and St. Augustine? Yes! I serve couples throughout Northeast Florida, including Amelia Island, Fernandina Beach, Ponte Vedra Beach, and St. Augustine.
Practical Questions
What happens if it rains on our wedding day? Rain creates some of the most dramatic and romantic wedding photos! I come prepared for all weather conditions. We’ll discuss backup plans during your consultation so you feel confident no matter what the forecast says.
Do you offer albums and prints? Yes! I offer luxury lay-flat albums, fine art prints, canvas wall art, and gallery wall collections. Products can be included in your package or added on after the wedding.
Can we do an engagement session before the wedding? Absolutely — and I highly recommend it! An engagement session helps you feel comfortable in front of the camera and produces beautiful images you can use for save-the-dates, your home, or as gifts.
